What Happened
The rear axle alignment in your Audi vehicle is critical to even tire wear. In some cases, the alignment might not have been checked after a previous repair, which could cause your tires to wear down unevenly or prematurely.

If your tires wear down unevenly, your vehicle could become unstable and harder to control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The rear axle alignment may not have been inspected after the repairs for Recall 21V-295 (42L1) were performed.

SUSPENSION:REAR:AXLE:NON-POWERED AXLE ASSEMBLY

What Happened
The part that connects your rear wheels to the rest of your vehicle is the non-powered axle assembly. In some 2021 Audi models, a small lock nut on this assembly can break due to corrosion.
Risk if Unfixed
If the lock nut breaks, it can cause the rear axle to misalign, which could make your vehicle unpredictable to steer and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the lock nut and any affected bolts for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and it won't cost you anything.

What Happened
The passenger air bag in your Audi has a special line that helps it deploy properly in a crash. Unfortunately, this line might not have been made correctly in some models.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag doesn't deploy correctly, it could fail to protect you in a collision. In the worst case, it could also send sharp plastic pieces into the passenger area, which could cause serious injury.

Your Audi dealer will inspect the air bag and fix it if needed, at no cost to you. They'll check the score line and make any necessary repairs, all for free.

The gateway control module in your vehicle is a computer that helps manage many systems, like the engine and lights. It's located under the rear seat, and if liquid gets spilled on it, it could shut down.
Risk if Unfixed
If the gateway control module fails, your engine power will suddenly drop, which could make it harder to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a protective cover over the gateway control module to keep it safe from spills, free of charge. You'll get a letter with more details and a deadline to schedule the repair.

What Happened
The fuel level sensor in your vehicle is what tells you how much gas you have left. In your 2019-2022 A6 or A7, or 2021-2022 RS6, RS7, A6 Allroad, or S6/S7, the sensor might get stuck, giving you an incorrect reading.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor is stuck, you might think you have more gas than you actually do. This could cause your engine to stall, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Audi will install a new fuel level sensor in your tank, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice in the mail.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

What Happened
The rearview camera system in your vehicle helps you see what's behind you while reversing. In some 2019-2026 Audi models, a software glitch could prevent the camera image from showing up on your screen.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera image doesn't display, you'll have a harder time seeing what's behind your vehicle. This increases the risk of a collision when reversing or backing up.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the software for the rearview camera system, and this repair is completely free. You should schedule the update as soon as you receive the recall notice.

A software error may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended.
