What Happened
The transmission cooling system in your Audi Q8 helps keep the transmission running smoothly. There's a potential problem with the weld on the oil pipe that supplies the system.
Risk if Unfixed
If the oil pipe leaks, transmission fluid could spill onto the road, making it slippery. This could cause your vehicle to lose traction, which might lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will check the transmission oil pipe and replace it if it's not properly welded. This repair is completely free, and you'll be notified when it's time to bring your vehicle in.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2020 Audi Q8 vehicles. An insufficient weld on a transmission oil pipe may cause the vehicle to leak automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
Original — Risk if Unfixed
If transmission fluid leaks while driving, the road surface may become slippery, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the transmission oil pipe and replace it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began June 12, 2020. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 38C7.
