POWER TRAIN Safety Recalls

Critical #13V571000 Plain English
Component

POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The drive shaft in your 2014 Acura MDX AWD is the long rod that connects the transmission to the wheels. In some cases, the bolts that hold it in place weren't tightened correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If these bolts loosen, the drive shaft could come off while you're driving, causing loud noises and potentially damaging your vehicle. This could lead to a loss of control, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will check the drive shaft bolts and tighten them as needed, at no cost to you. You should schedule this inspection and adjustment as soon as you get the recall notice.
