What Happened
Toyota is recalling certain vehicles to update the transmission control computer to prevent unexpected movement while the vehicle is in neutral.
Risk if Unfixed
If not fixed, your vehicle could roll away unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your local dealership will update the transmission control ECU software for free, and you'll receive a notification letter with instructions starting April 8, 2024.

Original — What Happened
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, Lexus LX600, and 2023-2024 Sequoia Hybrid vehicles. Unexpected vehicle movement may occur when the vehicle is in neutral and the brakes are not applied.

Unexpected vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will update the transmission control ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2024. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24TA02 and 24LA02.

What Happened
Toyota is recalling your 2022 Tundra or Tundra Hybrid to fix a potential problem with the axle shaft flange nuts, which can come loose over time.
Risk if Unfixed
If the flange nuts come loose, your axle shaft could separate from the axle housing, causing a loss of stability and brake performance, which can increase your risk of being in a crash.
Free Fix
Dealers will inspect your rear axle, tighten the flange nuts, and replace any damaged parts for free. This will be done at no cost to you, and you'll receive a notification letter with more information on July 15, 2022.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles. The flange nuts on the axle shaft sub-assemblies can loosen over time and potentially cause one or both axle shaft sub-assemblies to separate from the axle housing.
