SEAT BELTS
What Happened
The seatbelt in your vehicle has a flexible steel cable that helps keep you safe in a crash. Over time, this cable can weaken and break, which could cause the seatbelt to not hold you in place properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cable breaks, you could be thrown around the vehicle or ejected during a crash, leading to serious injury. This is a life-threatening situation that requires immediate attention.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect and replace the lap pretensioner — the part that makes sure the seatbelt holds you tight — for free, as soon as parts become available. You'll receive a separate notice with instructions and a new schedule once the parts are ready.
