VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CABLES
What Happened
The cruise control cable in your vehicle is a long, thin rod that helps your car speed up and slow down smoothly. In some cases, this cable can come loose and get stuck on a lever, causing your car to lose speed control.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens while you're driving, your car could suddenly accelerate on its own and lose control. This could cause a crash, which is a serious risk to your safety.
Free Fix
Your Subaru dealer will install a small clip to keep the cruise control cable in place, so you can drive safely without worrying about losing control. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
