Component
STRUCTURE:INTERIOR PANELS:DASHBOARD
Manufacturer
Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
What Happened
The dashboard console in your 2022-2023 911 is designed to absorb the force of a passenger air bag in a crash. But in some cases, it may shatter and allow the air bag to deploy incorrectly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag deploys improperly, you could be at higher risk of injury in a crash. This is because the air bag may not inflate correctly or may even hit you with force.
Free Fix
Your authorized Porsche dealer will replace the dashboard with a new one that's designed to protect you in a crash - and it's free. You'll get a notice in the mail, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
