What Happened
The headlight assembly on your vehicle is the part that provides light when you turn on your headlights. The affected aftermarket lamps don't have a required safety feature that helps other drivers see you when you're turning.

If these lamps are installed on your vehicle, you may notice reduced lighting visibility, especially when turning. This could make you harder to see, increasing the risk of a crash.

DOPE, INC. IS RECALLING 42,540 COMBINATION CORNER AND BUMPER LAMP ASSEMBLIES OF VARIOUS PART NUMBERS SOLD FOR USE AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FOR VARIOUS PASSENGER VEHICLES. THESE HEADLAMPS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THESE LAMPS DO NOT CONTAIN THE REQUIRED AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS.

The amber side reflector on your headlight is a small piece that helps make your vehicle more visible to other drivers. Some aftermarket headlamps installed on your vehicle are missing this important reflector.
