POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
The transmission to transfer case joint is a critical connection that helps your 2021-2025 Bronco shift gears smoothly. In some cases, this joint might not be properly aligned after a previous repair, which could lead to premature wear on the transmission and transfer case components.
Risk if Unfixed
If the transmission and transfer case splines wear down, your vehicle could lose power while driving or roll away when parked, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect the transmission to transfer case joint and replace the transmission and transfer case if necessary – all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair once you receive the follow-up letter with the appointment details, expected in July 2026.
