What Happened
The wiring in your Bronco's engine compartment helps connect the engine's computer to its various components. Over time, this wiring can get damaged, leading to a short circuit.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiring shorts out, it could cause a fire in the engine area. This is a serious risk, especially when driving, and could lead to a loss of control or a vehicle fire.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will protect the wiring harness with a protective sheath, free of charge. You'll receive a recall notice and should schedule the repair as soon as possible.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Bronco and Bronco Raptor vehicles. The engine compartment wiring harness may become damaged and short circuit.

A short circuit in the engine compartment can create heat or spark, increasing the risk of a fire.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will install sheathing over the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning August 24, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S55. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 23, 2026.
