What Happened
The engine intake valves in your vehicle are responsible for letting air into your engine. In some 2021-2022 Ford models with 2.7L or 3.0L engines, these valves can break while driving, causing engine failure.
Risk if Unfixed
If the intake valves break, your engine could seize up, leaving you stranded on the road without power. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially if you're on the highway or in heavy traffic.

Your Ford dealer will run a special test on your engine and replace it if necessary, all at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice and call Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 with any questions.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Bronco, F-150, Edge, Explorer, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Aviator vehicles equipped with either a 2.7L or 3.0L Nano EcoBoost engine. The engine intake valves may break while driving, which can result in engine failure and a loss of drive power.
