What Happened
The passenger side air bag in your vehicle is designed to inflate in the event of a crash to protect you from harm. However, in certain models of your vehicle, the air bag inflator could burst apart and send sharp metal fragments towards you.
Risk if Unfixed
If your air bag deploys in a crash, the inflator could shatter and hit you with sharp metal pieces, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Do not drive your vehicle until it's been repaired. Your authorized Chrysler dealer will replace the faulty air bag inflator with a safer one, free of charge. They will contact you to schedule the repair, and you should follow their instructions to get it done as soon as possible.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2010 Dodge Ram 3500, Ram 4500/5500, 2010-2011 Dodge Dakota, 2010-2014 Dodge Challenger, 2010-2015 Dodge Challenger, Chrysler 300, and 2010-2016 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.

In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger's frontal air bag, the inflator could explode with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. What Happened
The passenger airbag in your vehicle is a safety feature that deploys in a crash to protect you and others inside. Unfortunately, in your 2009-2013 Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, or other affected models, the propellant in the airbag can degrade over time, causing it to malfunction.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag inflates incorrectly in a crash, it could explode, sending sharp metal fragments towards you or others inside the vehicle, resulting in serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Chrysler dealer will replace the faulty airbag inflator for you, free of charge. You should not drive your vehicle until this recall repair is done. You'll be notified, and the repair is scheduled at no cost to you.

What Happened
Your vehicle may have a problem with the wiring harness that connects your seat side-airbags. The wires might not be properly connected, which could cause the airbags not to work as they should.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash and the airbags don't deploy as they should, you could be at greater risk of getting hurt.
Free Fix
Don't worry, this is free! The dealership will replace the wiring harnesses for both the driver and passenger seat airbags, at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, and Dodge Charger vehicles manufactured April 11, 2011, through December 14, 2011. The affected vehicles may have improperly sized terminal crimps on the seat side-airbag wiring harness which may cause the seat side-airbags to malfunction and illuminate the airbag warning light.
