What Happened
Your vehicle may have a faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that controls the cruise control system. A specific type of PCM is being recalled to prevent a short circuit in the vehicle's wiring.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cruise control system gets stuck, you may not be able to stop the vehicle from speeding up or maintaining its current speed, which increases the risk of a crash.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Stage 1 Kit Performance Packages Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) Part Numbers P5160023, P5160025, and Demon Crate PCM Part Number 68412287AA. The PCMs are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

What Happened
The airbag in your passenger seat is designed to inflate in case of a crash to protect you. But in some Chrysler vehicles from 2010-2016, the airbag's inflator could burst into pieces, potentially causing serious harm or even death.
Risk if Unfixed
If your airbag deploys in a crash, the inflator could shatter, sending sharp metal fragments towards you. This could lead to severe injury or even be fatal.

Your Chrysler dealer will replace the faulty airbag inflator with a safer one, at no cost to you. Please don't drive your vehicle until the repair is done, and your dealer will contact you to schedule the free fix.

Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.
