What Happened
The powertrain control module in your vehicle is like the brain of the automatic transmission. It helps you control your speed with cruise control. But in certain cases, this module could malfunction and make it hard to turn off the cruise control.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cruise control gets stuck on, and you can't turn it off, your vehicle could keep going at the same speed or even accelerate. This increases the risk of a crash, especially in heavy traffic or on the highway.
Free Fix
Your Chrysler dealer will either update the control module's software or replace it entirely, all free of charge. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as you can.
