POWER TRAIN Safety Recalls

Critical #03V076000 Plain English
Component

POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

Manufacturer
DAIMLERCHRYSLER CORPORATION
What Happened
The dual-mass flywheel in your manual transmission car is an important part that helps your clutch work smoothly. In some cases, a small pin inside this flywheel can come loose and get stuck between the flywheel and the clutch disc.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your clutch won't disengage properly when you press the clutch pedal. This could make it hard to shift gears, and you might stall the car while driving.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will replace the faulty flywheel and clutch assembly with improved parts, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible and check with your dealer if you don't receive the repair within a reasonable time.
