VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM
Manufacturer
General Motors LLC
What Happened
The rear defogger in your ATS sedan is controlled by a small coil that powers it. It's possible that this coil could get too hot if it's used a lot or stays on too long.
Risk if Unfixed
If the coil gets too hot, it could catch fire, which could cause a serious accident or injury.
Free Fix
Your Cadillac dealer will update the system so the rear defogger only turns on when you want it to, not automatically. This fix is completely free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
