What Happened
The B-Pillar in your X1 is a critical part of the roof and pillars that keep you safe in a crash. In some 2025 models, the reinforcement plates on the left and right sides may not be strong enough.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash and the B-Pillar isn't strong enough, it could fail to protect you and your passengers, increasing the risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect the B-Pillar and replace it with a stronger one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and you can contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 if you have any questions.
