Component
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The integrated brake (IB) system in your vehicle is like a safety net that helps you slow down and stay stable while driving. In certain 2023-2025 BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce models, this system may not work as intended.
Risk if Unfixed
If the IB system malfunctions, you could lose power brake assist, which means it'll take longer to stop your vehicle. You might also lose control of your vehicle, especially on slippery roads or during hard braking, increasing the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW or Rolls-Royce dealer will replace the faulty IB system with a new one at no cost to you. You've already received a recall notice by letter, so schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
