What Happened
The ABS system in your motorcycle helps you stop quickly and safely by preventing your wheels from locking up. But in certain situations, like repeated hard braking, it could temporarily fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ABS system fails temporarily while you're braking hard, you'll lose some stopping power and may skid or slide. This increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will install a new part that helps prevent ABS failure, and on some models, replace your front brake discs with slightly thicker ones – both repairs are free.
