EXTERIOR LIGHTING Safety Recalls

Critical #20V094000 Plain English
Component

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The third brake light on your M6 Gran Coupe is the rear light that warns following traffic when you're slowing down or stopping. In some 2014-2019 models, this light can become loose and fall off.
Risk if Unfixed
If the third brake light comes loose and falls off, it won't warn following drivers that you're slowing down, and it could become a hazard on the road. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect and properly secure the third brake light with new fasteners. If the light is damaged, they'll replace it. This repair is completely free, and you should contact the dealer to schedule the fix as soon as possible.
