SUSPENSION Safety Recalls

High Priority #22V023000 Plain English
Component

SUSPENSION:REAR

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The link strut in your motorcycle's rear suspension is like a strong arm that connects the frame to the wheels. It helps keep your bike stable and in control. In some 2019-2020 K1600 GT, GTL, and B models, this strut might be too weak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the strut gets damaged, the rear of your motorcycle could hit the wheel while you're riding, making it harder to control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the weak link strut with a stronger one, free of charge. You should contact your dealer to schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
