Component
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CRUISE CONTROL
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The cruise control system in your iX or iX M60 is a feature that helps you maintain a steady speed on the highway. But in some cases, it might accidentally turn back on when you're turning at low speeds.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cruise control suddenly kicks back in while you're turning, your car could speed up quickly, making it harder to control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will update the software that controls your cruise control system, so you can drive with peace of mind. This update is completely free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
