HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The high-voltage electrical system in your i3 hybrid vehicle is controlled by a circuit board in the Electric Motor Electronics (EME) module. In some 2018 models, this circuit board may fail and shut off the power supply.
Risk if Unfixed
If the power supply is cut off, your vehicle will lose propulsion, making it harder to control on the road and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty EME module with a new one, at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice.
