Component
EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The left rear taillight on your vehicle is a safety light that helps alert other drivers when you're braking or turning. In some 2013-2015 BMW 7 series models, the replacement taillight was installed incorrectly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the taillight is faulty, you may be harder to spot by other drivers, especially at night or in low-light conditions. This could lead to a crash if another driver doesn't see you in time.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect the taillight and replace it with the correct one at no cost to you. Just schedule an appointment when you get the recall notice, and the repair will be done for free.
