What Happened
The integrated brake system is a critical safety feature that helps your vehicle stop smoothly and stay stable on the road. In certain 2023-2024 BMW models, this system might not work properly, causing problems with your power brakes or stability control.
Risk if Unfixed
If the integrated brake system fails, you could experience a longer stopping distance, and your vehicle might lose control, increasing the risk of a crash. This could happen because your power brakes won't work as well or your stability control system doesn't function properly.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty integrated brake module with a new one, at no cost to you. Schedule the repair once you receive the recall notice, and be sure to inform your dealer if your vehicle was previously repaired under recall number 24V-104.

Original — What Happened
BMW of North America, LLC. (BMW) is recalling certain 2023-2024 X1, X5, X6, X7, XM, 530i, i5, 740i, 760i, i7, and 750e vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models and model years. The integrated brake (IB) system may malfunction and result in a loss of power brake assist or cause the Antilock Brake (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) systems to not function properly.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A loss of power brake assist can extend the distance required to stop the vehicle. Additionally, malfunctioning ABS and/or DSC systems can cause a loss of vehicle control. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the integrated brake module, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed November 22, 2024. Second letters will be mailed once the parts are available. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. Vehicles in this recall were previously repaired under recall number 24V-104 and will need to have the new remedy completed.

What Happened
The electronic stability control module in your vehicle helps keep your tires gripping the road and your vehicle stable. It's like a computer that helps your brakes and engine work together to prevent skidding and loss of control. But in some 2023-2025 models, the welds in the module's servomotor might break, causing big problems.
Risk if Unfixed
If the welds break, your vehicle could lose power brake assist and rear brake function, making it harder to stop. This could lead to a longer stopping distance and a higher chance of a crash. If the ABS or DSC systems fail, you might lose control of your vehicle, making it harder to steer or stop safely.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty electronic stability control module with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, which was mailed on November 13, 2024. You can also contact BMW Customer Service at 1-800-525-7417 for more information.
