SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The vacuum hoses and fittings in your vehicle's brake system help supply power assistance to your brakes. In certain 2012-2014 BMW models, these hoses and fittings may not get enough lubrication, which could cause them to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake vacuum pump fails, you'll lose some braking power. This could make it harder to stop your vehicle, especially on hills or when merging onto a busy road, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will add a locking ring to your camshaft to keep the seal disk in place, ensuring your brakes get the assistance they need. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
