What Happened
Your vehicle's air bag system has a component called the head air bag inflator. It's a critical part that helps deploy the air bag to protect you in a crash. In some 2017-2018 BMW models, this part might not work properly if it's been exposed to too much humidity.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a severe crash, the head air bag might not deploy correctly or could even break apart, which could increase the risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty head air bag inflator with a new one at no cost to you. You'll get a notification when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as after confirming availability with your dealer as possible to ensure your safety.
