What Happened
Your vehicle has a fuel pump that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In some 2014-2015 BMW models, the pump's metal parts may not be properly coated, which could cause it to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails without warning, your vehicle could stall while driving, making it hard to control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one at no cost to you. You've already received a notice, but if you need to schedule the repair, just call BMW's customer service at 1-800-525-7417 to set it up.
