What Happened
The bolts that hold your car's body to its frame might not be tightened properly in your 2023-2024 228i or 2025 MINI Countryman S ALL4. This is a critical safety issue.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolts are loose, your car's body may not protect you or your passengers well in a crash, which could lead to serious injuries.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will check the bolts and tighten them if needed – all at no cost to you. You should schedule the inspection as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2023-2024 228i, 228i xDrive, and 2025 MINI Countryman S ALL4 vehicles. The bolts that connect the front body structure to the vehicle chassis may not have been tightened properly.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A loose front body structure may not adequately protect occupants in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will inspect and if necessary, tighten the front structure bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact BMW Customer Service at 1-800-525-7417.
