Component
EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The rear lights on your Audi are connected to a wiring harness that's usually protected from scratches. In some 2021 RS5 Sportbacks, 2020-2021 A5 and S5 Sportbacks, this protection is missing near the spare wheel well.
Risk if Unfixed
If your vehicle gets rear-ended, the wires could get damaged, and you might not be able to open your doors from the outside. Additionally, your hazard lights might not turn on, which could make you harder to spot in low-light conditions.
Free Fix
Audi will apply protection to the wiring harness for free. Your dealer will take care of this repair, and it won't cost you anything.
