AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
Your Audi's passenger air bags are controlled by a sensor that can see if there's a person in the passenger seat. In some 2012-2013 Audi A6 and A7 models, this sensor might not work correctly, even if you have heated and cooled seats.
Risk if Unfixed
If this sensor fails, the passenger-side air bag might not inflate in a crash, leaving you or your passenger unprotected and at risk of more serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a special repair kit to fix the sensor, ensuring your air bags deploy correctly in an emergency – at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as possible.
