What Happened
The xenon headlamp coating in your vehicle is a thin layer that helps your headlights shine bright. Over time, this coating can break down and reduce the light output.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your headlights won't be as bright, which could affect your field of vision while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the left and right xenon headlamp reflectors with new ones, free of charge. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF XENON HEADLAMP COATING DEGRADATION OVER TIME. THE LUMINOUS TRANSMITTANCE OF THE HEADLAMP MAY DECREASE OVER A PERIOD OF TIME.
