What Happened
The electric coolant pump in your Audi is like a little fan that helps keep your engine cool. In some 2012-2017 models with 2.0L Turbo FSI engines, this pump can get clogged with debris or short-circuit due to moisture.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump gets blocked or short-circuits, your engine can overheat, which can lead to a fire. This is a serious risk that could cause significant damage to your vehicle and potentially put you in harm's way.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2013-2017 Audi A5 Cabriolet, A5 Sedan and Audi Q5 vehicles, 2012-2015 Audi A6 vehicles and 2013-2016 Audi A4 Sedan and A4 allroad vehicles. These vehicles, equipped with 2.0l Turbo FSI engines, have an electric coolant pump that can either become blocked with debris from the cooling system causing it to overheat or can short-circuit from moisture within the pump.

A blocked pump or a short-circuited pump can increase the risk of a fire.
Original — Remedy
Audi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the pumps, free of charge. The recall began September 14, 2018. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number's for this recall is 19N3/19N4. Note: This recall is in additional to the coolant pump software update applied as a remedy under recall 17V002.

What Happened
The electric coolant pump in your vehicle helps keep your engine cool. In some 2012-2017 Audi models, a mix of debris from the cooling system can clog the pump, causing it to overheat.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump overheats, it could increase the risk of a fire, which is a serious safety issue.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the vehicle's software to shut off power to the pump if it gets clogged, at no cost to you. This should be done as soon as you receive the recall notice.

What Happened
The air bag control module is a computer that helps your Audi's air bags deploy in a crash. In some 2013-2015 A4, S4, and Allroad models, this module has a problem that could prevent the front air bags from deploying when they should.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash and hit from the side, and then get hit again from the front, your front air bags might not deploy. This could lead to serious injury to you and your passengers.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the air bag control module software for free. This will ensure your front air bags deploy when they should, keeping you and your passengers safer. Schedule the repair at your earliest convenience.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Audi A4 and S4 vehicles manufactured February 16, 2012, to October 21, 2014, and 2013-2015 Audi Allroad vehicles manufactured March 12, 2012, to October 21, 2014. Due to an improper algorithm in the air bag control module, if a crash necessitates deployment of the side air bags, a second impact to the front of the vehicle may not command the front air bags to also deploy.

If the front air bags do not deploy in the event of a secondary impact to the front of the vehicle, there is an increased risk of occupant injury.
