Component

AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) in your vehicle is a critical safety feature that deploys the passenger air bag when needed. The cable that connects it to the car's computer can degrade over time, causing the air bag to malfunction.
Risk if Unfixed
If the passenger air bag is disabled, you could be at greater risk of serious injury in the event of a crash. The air bag is designed to cushion the impact and prevent head and chest injuries – without it, you're more vulnerable.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will secure the PODS cable in place with new cable ties, ensuring the air bag system works as intended. This repair is completely free – no cost to you.
