Component
STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:HOSE, PIPING, AND CONNECTIONS
Manufacturer
HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
What Happened
The power steering hose in your Acura TL is like a flexible tube that helps you steer your car. Over time, it can degrade and crack if the engine gets too hot.
Risk if Unfixed
If the hose cracks, it will leak power steering fluid onto the hot catalytic converter under the hood. This could cause a fire, which could spread quickly and put you and others at risk.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will replace the old power steering hose with a heat-resistant one that's designed to last longer. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
