What Happened
The bike rack on your vehicle has a small metal rod that can pinch your fingers if you're not careful. It's a small part that connects the bike arm to the upright of the rack.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're not careful, this metal rod could severely cut or even amputate your fingertips or hand when you move the bike arm.

You should contact Thule or Honda to get a free repair kit that will fix this issue, and they'll give you instructions on how to do it. This repair is on the house, and you should get it done as soon as you can.

Original — What Happened
HONDA IS RECALLING 2,032 HITCH STYLE BIKE RACKS SOLD AS AFTERMARKET FOR USE ON MY 2003-2007 AND SOME MY 2008 HONDA PILOT, RIDGELINE, AND ACURA MDX VEHICLES. A PINCH BOLT EXISTS BETWEEN THE BIKE ARM BRACKET AND THE UPRIGHT ASSEMBLY OF THE "HITCH" STYLE BICYCLE RACK.

WHEN MOVING THE BIKE ARM BRACKET TO ITS DOWN POSITION, THIS PINCH BOLT HAS THE POTENTIAL OF CAUSING SEVERE LACERATION OR AMPUTATION TO THE USER'S FINGERTIPS OR HAND.
