A part of your vehicle's air bag system might not work properly. It's called the passenger side frontal air bag inflator, and it contains a propellant that could break down over time.
RISK_ASSESSMENT
If this part fails, it could explode and send sharp metal fragments into the cabin, which could cause serious injury or even death.
RESOLUTION_PROTOCOL
GM will replace the air bag inflator with a new one for free. They'll notify you with a letter and schedule the repair at a dealership at no cost to you.
