SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE
What Happened
The Anti-lock Brake (ABS) Module is a critical computer that helps your brakes work smoothly. In some 2007-2011 Elantra and 2007-2008 Entourage and Santa Fe models, moisture can seep into this module, causing a short circuit.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ABS Module shorts out, even when your car is turned off, the engine compartment could catch fire, posing a risk of injury.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will install a protective relay in your vehicle's main junction box, free of charge. This will keep your ABS system safe from electrical shorts even when your car is parked.
