What Happened
The diesel fuel heater in your Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, or 5500 is a component that helps warm up the engine when it's cold. It's connected by special electrical wires that could overheat.
Risk if Unfixed
If these wires get too hot, they could start leaking fuel, which could cause a fire. This is a serious risk, especially when you're driving.
Free Fix
Your Ram dealer will replace the faulty electrical connector with a new, fire-resistant one, and check the fuel heater for any signs of leaks. They'll do it free of charge, and you should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
