Your vehicle's airbag control module, or RCM, might have a coating that can crack and cause electrical shorts. This could prevent your airbags and seatbelt pretensioners from working properly in a crash.

If the RCM shorts, your airbags and seatbelt pretensioners might not deploy when needed, which could increase the risk of injury in a collision.
RESOLUTION_PROTOCOL
Ford will replace the RCM for free. They'll notify you when parts are available and schedule the repair at a dealership.
