ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION

What Happened
The ignition switch in your vehicle controls the flow of power to your car's systems, including the airbag. In certain 2003-2014 Cadillac models, this switch can move out of the 'run' position if it's jostled by a heavy keychain or rough road, turning off the engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ignition switch turns off while you're driving, your airbags might not deploy in case of a crash, which could lead to serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Cadillac dealer will install a special key ring and a protective insert in the key slot or a cover over the key head, free of charge. This will prevent the ignition switch from moving out of position and ensure your airbags work as they should.
