What Happened
Your vehicle's tailgate hinge and attachments might not be properly aligned, which can cause the tailgate to open while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If your tailgate opens while driving, it could lead to unsecured cargo falling out and creating a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks. The tailgate may not latch properly due to misaligned tailgate strikers, which could result in the tailgate opening while driving.
