AIR BAGS Safety Recalls

High Priority #21V131000 Plain English
Component

AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION:FRONT PASSENGER

Manufacturer
Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
What Happened
The front passenger seat sensor in your Macan is a mat that detects whether someone is sitting in the passenger seat. Over time, this mat can wear down and stop working correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor fails, the air bag in the front passenger seat won't deploy during a crash. This means you or a passenger could get seriously hurt if you're not buckled up.
Free Fix
Your Porsche dealer will replace the faulty sensor mat and the seat cushion for free. You'll get a recall notice with instructions on how to schedule the repair. It's essential to fix this as soon as possible to ensure your safety.
