What Happened
Your 2019 Cayenne or Cayenne S's rearview camera image display might not respond quickly enough due to a software issue.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera doesn't work as it should, you might not see what's behind your car, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Porsche will update the software for free at a dealership, starting on April 19, 2019. They'll notify you when it's time to schedule an appointment.

Original — What Happened
Porsche Cars North America, Inc (Porsche) is recalling certain 2019 Cayenne and Cayenne S vehicles. A software failure may cause the rearview camera image display to be delayed in responding. As such, these vehicles fail to comply to Federal Motor Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

A rearview camera display that does not function as designed can reduce the driver's view of what is behind the car, increasing the risk of a crash.
