What Happened
Your 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter may not make enough sound when reversing, which is a safety feature to alert pedestrians. This is a problem that needs to be fixed.

If your vehicle doesn't make a loud enough sound when reversing, pedestrians may not hear it coming and could get hurt.

Original — What Happened
Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling certain 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter vehicles. The vehicles fail to make sufficient pedestrian warning sounds when in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles."

Insufficient pedestrian warning sounds may fail to alert pedestrians of an approaching vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will update the software for the pedestrian warning sounds, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 27, 2026. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267. DVUSA's number for this recall is V3EAVASOU. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning February 20, 2026.
