ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE

Manufacturer
Kia Motors America
What Happened
The engine in your Optima, Sorento, or Sportage is the heart of the vehicle, where fuel is burned to make power. In some 2011-2014 models, a mistake during engine manufacturing could cause the engine bearings to wear out too quickly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the engine bearings fail, your engine could seize, causing your car to stall. This could happen while you're driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Kia dealer will inspect the engine and replace it if necessary, all at no cost to you. You'll get a notification, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
