What Happened
Your vehicle's front seat belt buckle might make a false 'click' sound when you buckle up, which can trick you into thinking it's latched.

If you drive with a false latch, the buckle could come undone when you're in a crash, leaving you or a passenger unrestrained.

You should take your vehicle to a Kia dealership, where they will replace both of your front seat belt buckles at no cost to you.

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE FRONT SAFETY BELT BUCKLES MAY EMIT A "CLICK" SOUND DURING THE BUCKLING PROCESS THAT IS SIMILAR TO THE SOUND EMITTED WHEN A BUCKLE IS BEING LATCHED, WHEN IT IS NOT.

THE LATCH CAN THEN PULL OUT OF THE BUCKLE WHEN TENSION IS APPLIED.
Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE BOTH FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLES.
