Component
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY
Manufacturer
KIA MOTORS AMERICA, INC.
What Happened
The fuel intake nipple is a small part on your vehicle that helps get gasoline from the tank to the engine. In some cases, it can crack or break under certain conditions, like when a fuel tube is removed or when the engine compartment is repaired.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel intake nipple cracks, it could cause a fuel leak. If that happens and there's a spark nearby, it could lead to a fire.
Free Fix
Your Kia dealer will replace the faulty fuel system parts with new ones, at no cost to you. This is a free repair, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
