What Happened
Your 2008 Jeep Liberty has a windshield wiper motor with too much adhesive, which could let water get in and cause problems with your windshield wipers.
Risk if Unfixed
If your windshield wipers fail, you might not be able to see the road clearly, which could lead to an accident.

Original — What Happened
CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008 JEEP LIBERTY VEHICLES. THE VEHICLES ARE EQUIPPED WITH WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTORS THAT CONTAIN EXCESS ADHESIVE THAT MAY ALLOW FOR WATER INTRUSION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN INTERMITTENT AND EVENTUALLY INOPERATIVE WINDSHIELD WIPER OPERATION.

A FAILING OR INOPERATIVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM WILL REDUCE A DRIVER'S VISIBILITY WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 1, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.

What Happened
Your vehicle's windshield and rear quarter glass might not be properly attached due to incorrect adhesive. This could cause the glass to come loose while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the glass separates, it could hit another vehicle or injure a pedestrian, which could lead to serious harm or damage.

You should take your vehicle to a dealership, where they will replace the windshield and/or rear quarter glass at no cost to you, as soon as possible.

CHRYSLER IS RECALLING 494 MY 2008 JEEP LIBERTY VEHICLES. THE WINDSHIELD AND/OR FIXED REAR QUARTER GLASS MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED USING INCORRECT URETHANE ADHESIVE. THIS COULD AFFECT GLASS RETENTION.
