What Happened
Your vehicle is equipped with a system that checks tire pressure and alerts you if it's low. But in certain 2024-2026 Jeep models, this system's software might not work correctly, so you might not get a warning light if your tire pressure is off.
Risk if Unfixed
If your tire pressure is low and you don't get a warning, you might not notice it until it's a serious safety issue. Low tire pressure can cause your vehicle to lose traction and increase the risk of a crash.

Your Jeep dealer will update the software that controls your tire pressure monitoring system, so it works as intended. This repair is free, and you'll get a notice to schedule the update when it's time.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, 2025-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, 2026 Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer L PHEV vehicles. Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."

Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 29, 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 54D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026.
